Overview

Students have the opportunity to learn beyond the high school classroom with engaging and challenging courses that motivate them to explore and apply new knowledge. They return to school with renewed energy, an excitement for learning, and ideas for post-secondary and career planning.


Program Highlights

  • Choice of one academic course from a variety of disciplines
  • 20 hours of classroom instruction over five days
  • Intensive, hands-on experience in state-of-the-art facilities
  • Courses taught by Queen’s students, faculty, and community professionals who have demonstrated excellence in their field
  • Learn and connect with like-minded peers
  • Mentorship by Queen’s undergraduate students
  • Participation in Wednesday Morning Workshops: presentations highlighting university life, resources for planning your post-secondary future, and the unique Queen’s University experience

Residence Option

The residence option provides a complete university experience. Students live in residence, attend daytime classes, eat breakfast and dinner in a campus dining hall, and participate in extracurricular activities on the Queen’s campus and around the Kingston community. The residence option also qualifies for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Gold Medal Residential Project.

Included with the Residence Option:

  • Five nights of accommodation in a traditional residence room
  • Five breakfasts
  • Friday lunch (Monday-Thursday lunches not included)
  • Five dinners
  • Full supervision
  • All course fees
  • All course materials
  • All evening extracurricular activities

Commuter Option

The commuter option provides a university experience that is perfect for students who live within commuting distance to campus.  Students attend daytime classes and experience the post-secondary routine of living off campus.

  • Admission to the Welcome Rally on Sunday
  • Admission to the final evening activity on Thursday

Tuition

Register on or before January 31, 2017 and pay the 2016 Tuition rates. Rates increase as of February 1, 2017.
