Leadership Training
For Grades 7 – 12
Now a program option of the Summer Enrichment Experience
Program overview
Leadership Training is for students who strive to become effective leaders in academic, extracurricular, and business situations. With an overarching theme of personal growth, the Program helps students to develop strong communication skills, learn to cultivate strategic relationships, and to become successful team members and leaders.
Leadership Training is now a course option of the Summer Enrichment Experience program.
The Program offers unique and complementary courses and activities designed to build and practice valuable knowledge and skills. All participants attend a leadership retreat to the Elbow Lake Environmental Education Centre to participate in exciting teambuilding and leadership activities in an outdoor setting. Other activities may include climbing, swimming, a corn maze adventure, challenging teambuilding exercises, and more.
For students working towards the Duke of Edinburgh International Award Gold Medal, the residence option satisfies the Gold Project requirement. To receive a Duke of Edinburgh award, students must complete personal goals in 4 to 5 different categories. Please refer to the Duke of Edinburgh – Ontario website for age requirements and other Award information.
